Indeed, President Obama has already charted a more democratic course and has reached out to some of the cultures (namely Islam) that Bush relentlessly and ruthlessly attacked with words and bullets. I would enjoy seeing an updated version of Kagan's book, and see if he recognized the huge shift in attitude the new Obama White House has taken towards Europe and the rest of the world.
